About the Course

A 3-hour intensive delivered across 2 Zoom sessions, designed to give Zouk DJs the tools to build seamless, energetic sets.

Curriculum

1. Music Structure Analysis

   Understanding phrase structure, sections, and how Zouk music is built so you always know where you are in a track.

2. Transition Timing

   When to transition — reading the room, tracking energy, and choosing the right moment.

3. Transition Techniques

   The mechanics of smooth transitions: EQ, volume curves, beat matching, and phrase matching.

4. Musical Mashups

   Layering tracks creatively to create unexpected moments on the dance floor.

5. Energy Management

   Shaping the arc of a set — building peaks, creating valleys, and leaving dancers wanting more.
